SF’s newest Passive House hits the Noe market with net zero impact

The newest Passive House to hit the SF market listed this week at 2127 Castro St, a four-bed, four-bath with two-car garage. Price tag: $4,995,000.

Wildly popular, these homes are ecological genius. ENU Construction (founded by Ewen Utting) built 2127 Castro. This firm also built and sold the very first Passive House in San Francisco on 19th Street in Eureka Valley, a property dubbed “The Equilibrium House.” Listed at $3.8 million in November, 2013, it actually sold before it was even finished, closing a month later at $4 million (which makes the currently listed property seem–though pricey–comparable). The 19th St. property was featured online at several sites such as Curbed SF and 7×7, CH&D, and most recently in an issue of Sunset Magazine.
